I would like to bring to your attention an exciting position at Kent State University.  We are establishing a Brain Health Research Institute and are looking for a well-established researcher in this area as Director
to foster collaborations among our growing and thriving multi-departmental/college program.


Kent State University is seeking applicants for a full-time position as Director of our Brain Health Research initiative. We are seeking a visionary Brain Health researcher, who will report directly to the VP
for Research and Sponsored Programs, and foster collaborations among our growing and thriving multi-department/college Brain Health program. The Director will be provided with a competitive salary and generous start-up package as well as financial and administrative
support for Brain Health initiatives.

Kent State has a distinctive blend of research and creative excellence and seeks an energetic and enthusiastic director to augment our national distinction in Brain Health research. With more than 40 faculty
across multi-disciplines studying Brain Health, Kent State offers existing researchers, graduate programs, and infrastructure to facilitate the emergence of this initiative. Current areas of strength include neuroendocrinology, neurodegeneration, cognition,
stress and mindfulness. Moreover, the Director will have the opportunity to recruit additional faculty to support the Initiative and his/her strategic vision.

The successful candidate will possess an exemplary record of research in areas relevant to brain health with a desire to engage broadly with others in the field and to build relationships within and beyond Kent
State. The Director will maintain an established extramurally funded research program, while leading, fostering and engaging in collaborative research and building productive relationships with internal and external partners. The Director will also hold the
faculty rank of Associate Professor or Professor with tenure in the appropriate department.
