[visionlist] Flat-screen Monitor for Psychophysics
Posted: October 21, 2016 Filed under: Uncategorized Leave a commentWe are looking for a 27’’ flat-screen monitor with fast refresh rate (120Hz or more)
and minimal temporal blurring of pixel luminance. It would be used for psychophysics
on motion stimuli, and steady-state visual evoked potential (SSVEP) recordings
requiring reliable luminance flicker of stimuli at distinct frequencies.
I know that CRTs are better (still?) than flat-screens in terms of pixel-decay times,
and OLEDs or Viewpixx monitors are better too. – But right now we don’t have
the money for a 27’’ OLED or viewpixx, and not enough space for CRT.
Hence: does anyone have a recommendation for a suitable 27’’ (HD resolution is fine)
monitor? Or experience for/against certain types of models / technologies?
Many thanks and best,
Andreas
