MS-PhD/PhD research assistant positions are available
to work in Haptic Engineering Research Lab (http://ift.tt/2hcIr0s) at Incheon National
University (INU), Incheon, South
Korea.

We are
particularly interested in candidates in the following areas: 

·        
Haptic assisted
skin imaging system for diagnosis

·        
Mobile touch screen
with tactile feedback

·        
Tele-robot control
with haptic sensing and feedback (rehabilitative robotics)

·        
Augmented reality
with haptics (touch sensing & feedback)

·        
Real-time 3D visual
and haptic rendering with 3D models (computer graphics)

·        
Haptics based human
computer interface technologies

·        
Perception study
for vision and touch (psychophysics)

 

The graduate research assistantship includes a
monthly stipend and full tuition waiver.

Degree
requirement: BS or MS degree
in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Computer
Engineering, Computer Science, or equivalent.

Skill requirements: strong C/C++ programming skill, digital signal processing,
embedded programming with microcontrollers, basic circuit theory, robot control
(optional), computer graphics (optional), computer vision (optional),  image processing (optional), virtual reality
(optional).

We
are doing research in rehabilitative robotics with haptic feedback in
collaboration with University of Paris-Est Creteil (UPEC), France. The research
collaboration opens a double degree
program (PhD only) for outstanding candidates.
